An experimental new enzyme is being used to clean up a decommissioned oil rig in the middle of the North Sea. Scientist (Saskia Gould) is in charge and hires a team of demolition engineers to carry out the job. But militant environmentalist Micky Hennessey (Conrad Whitaker) and an associate hijack the oil rig and hold everyone hostage, determinded to stop a possible ecological disaster. However a greater and more immediate danger emerges: the enzyme has spawned a monstrous parasite that feeds on human flesh. Both groups must join forces to defeat this ultimate threat to their existance,
